If you're in downtown Long Beach, the Long Beach Transit's free Passport bus is the most budget-friendly way of getting to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Usually, you can catch a bus every 8 to 12 mins.

However, if you want to get to the aquarium from the Long Beach Airport to the Aquarium, you'll need to catch the '111 LKWD-Broadway to Downtown' bus from the Long Beach Airport/Lot A bus stop and get down at the First & Shelter C N. Keep in mind that there is about 15 mins of walking involved.

The nearest stop to the Long Beach Airport on the Metro A line is Willow St Station. Get onboard here and get off at the Downtown Long Beach station. This should take about 16 mins. From here, expect a 10-minute walk to get to the aquarium.

This walk lets you explore nearby attractions, such as Shoreline Village, the Long Beach Convention Center, and Rainbow Harbor. You’ll also pass scenic waterfront views, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options along the way.

The fastest route to the aquarium is via car. It takes about 13 mins to drive from the Long Beach airport to the aquarium. You can hire a car or even take your personal car since there is plenty of parking available.

From the Long Beach airport: take I-405 N and then get on to I-710 S. Use the exit 1C from I-710 S to enter W Shoreline Dr. Then, drive along W Shoreline Dr to reach the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Parking: The Aquarium of the Pacific offers parking in a dedicated lot directly across from the entrance. Parking is $8 per day and is only available with the purchase of an admission ticket.
