What to expect at Halloween Horror Nights: Explore 8 haunted houses

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 features eight haunted houses, bringing horror movies, television franchises and original stories to life through elaborate sets, special effects and live performers.

The 2026 haunted houses are:

Sinners

Enter Club Juke in 1930s Mississippi, the setting of the acclaimed film Sinners. What begins as a celebration turns into a fight for survival when bloodthirsty vampires descend on the juke joint.

Stranger Things 5

Return to Hawkins for the final chapter of Stranger Things. Encounter familiar locations and terrifying creatures as the characters face the supernatural threats of the show's fifth and final season.

Hellraiser

Enter the nightmarish world of Clive Barker's Hellraiser. The experience draws from the first three films and brings the Lament Configuration, Pinhead and the Cenobites into the park.

Evil Dead Burn

Enter the Price family's secluded home after the Book of the Dead is reopened. Deadites and other supernatural horrors await in this haunted house based on Evil Dead Burn.

Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness

Travel through the career and dark imagery of heavy-metal legend Ozzy Osbourne. The house takes guests through different eras of his solo career and features music inspired by his albums and legacy.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space

Encounter the murderous alien clowns from the cult classic Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Watch out for cotton candy cocoons and other twisted tricks as the Klowns invade Universal Studios Hollywood.

Dead, Deader, Deadest

Enter an abandoned funeral home where an experimental drug has produced horrifying consequences. The original haunted house explores what happens when the dead refuse to stay dead.

KILLceañera: Music by SLASH

Join Lola for a quinceañera that becomes a deadly celebration of revenge. This original haunted house features an original score by SLASH, including the song "15 Candles."

Brave the Terror Tram

The Terror Tram starring Art the Clown takes Halloween Horror Nights onto the famous Universal Studios Hollywood backlot.

In 2026, Art the Clown hijacks the Terror Tram for his own twisted Christmas celebration, turning the backlot into a holiday nightmare. The experience, titled "Every Day Is Artmas," features a dark Christmas soundtrack created by Ice Nine Kills. Art the Clown can also appear elsewhere in the park during the event.

The Terror Tram is one of the defining features of Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and uses the Studio Tour backlot as part of the experience.

Walk through four scare zones

Four scare zones add more horror throughout the park:

Fortnitemares

A Halloween-themed Fortnite battleground comes to life with characters, creatures and horror-inspired gameplay. The zone blends the game's familiar action with the eerie atmosphere of Halloween Horror Nights.

El Circo de la Muerte

This sinister Mexican circus draws inspiration from the traveling carpa shows of the 1920s and 1930s. Performers and sideshow attractions take a terrifying turn beneath the big top.

Hackerz

Chainsaw-wielding killers have taken over the streets, turning the area into a dangerous urban nightmare. Their sudden appearances make every step feel unpredictable.

Blood Bog

A dark swamp hides moss-covered creatures and other horrors beneath its murky surface. The oppressive atmosphere makes the bog feel alive as you move through it.

Things to do

Encounter roaming street experiences

Beyond the fixed scare zones, Halloween Horror Nights also features roaming characters and street experiences.

Murder of Crowz brings a family of crows into the event, while Shriek of the Banshee features a carnival barker and his talking skeleton. Guests may also encounter Obsession's Freaky Nikki, the central character from the horror film Obsession, during special nightly appearances.

Watch live entertainment

The 2026 event features The Purge: Dangerous Waters, a live stunt show at the WaterWorld venue. The show returns with high-energy stunts, fire and action inspired by The Purge.

Experience select attractions

Select Universal Studios Hollywood rides and attractions remain open during Halloween Horror Nights including TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D, Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride, The Simpsons Ride and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD.

You can also encounter Death Eaters in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter during the early evening on event nights.

Try themed food and drinks

Halloween Horror Nights features themed food and drinks inspired by the event's haunted houses and characters. Options are available at select locations throughout Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk.
